Got Questions? Here Are Answers!

When and where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding celebration will be held from August 1st to August 3rd, 2025, at Steinbockalm in the Austrian Alps. Checkout the details about the location and how to get there here.

How do we best travel to the wedding?

The nearest airports are Salzburg (1hr drive) and Munich (2.5hr drive). From there, we recommend renting a car for the scenic drive to Hinterthal. Don't worry, we've got detailed directions and travel tips ready for you here.

If you're not keen on driving, let us know. We might be able to arrange some group transportation or put you in touch with other guests to carpool.

What dates should we be there?

Mark your calendars for August 1-3, 2025! The main event is on Saturday, August 2nd, but we've got a whole weekend of fun planned.

Arrive on Friday for our welcome gathering, and stick around for Sunday's farewell brunch.

Can't make the whole weekend? No worries, just come for what you can! Check out our full schedule here: The Program

Where should we stay?

There are some cozy spots right near the venue, in Hinterthal itself, but there are great options a short drive away in Maria Alm and Saalfelden (not to mention Airbnb is also an option). We've put together a list of recommendations here: Hotel Recommendations

Don't worry about being a short drive from the action – there's plenty of parking at the chairlift. If you need help finding a place or want to coordinate with other guests, just give us a shout!

What's the dress code for the wedding?

We're going for "Summer Semi-Formal" vibes. Think suits or summer dresses, but leave the tux and ball gowns at home. Guys, ties are not required. If you're wearing heels, the ceremony is on grass, but the rest of the day is on solid ground. And everyone, bring a layer! It can get chilly in the evening.

For the farewell brunch on the following day, we're getting into the mountain spirit with traditional Tracht. That means Dirndl for the ladies and Lederhosen for the gents. This is optional of course, but encouraged.

Are you registered for gifts?

Your presence is truly all the present we need – especially for those traveling to join us! We're all set on the home front, so please, no gifts necessary. If you absolutely insist on celebrating a little extra, we've set up a honeymoon fund for our Arctic adventure in Svalbard. You can check it out here if you're curious: Arctic Honeymoon Fund.

How will we get back to our hotel after the party?

Don't worry, we're not taking the chairlift back down after the party. There will be taxis available at the top. Each taxi will be 75€ and can be shared by up to 5 people (15€ per person). They will take you back to your hotel. Please bring cash.

Can we bring +1s?

We'd love to give everyone a +1, however, due to limited seating availability at the venue, we can't invite everyone. Therefore please only RSVP for the people who were invited by name. If there's someone you'd like to bring, then let us know and we can see closer to the date based on availability.

Are children invited to the wedding?

As much as we love tiny humans,  we're aiming for an adult-only celebration this time. We hope you'll use this as an excuse for a grown-up getaway! If you need help finding childcare options in the area, we'd be happy to suggest some resources.

What will the weather be like?

August in the Alps is usually pretty sweet! Expect daytime temps around 15-25°C (59-77°F). Perfect for outdoor celebrations! But heads up – mountain weather can be a bit moody. Evenings can get chilly, and we might catch some rain. Pro-tip: Layers!

What's the RSVP deadline?

Circle January 1st, 2025 on your calendars – that's our RSVP deadline! We know it's a ways off, but we're excited and can't wait to hear from you. The earlier you let us know, the better we can plan. Please RSVP here.
